Research background
My current research has focused on social entrepreneurship, social enterprises and social innovation. This research has been conducted in EU-funded research projects (EFESEIIS and FAB-MOVE) in collaboration with research partners from a large number of European countries such as Albania, England, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Serbia, Scotland, Spain, Germany and Austria, but also partners from non-European countries, such as Argentina, Costa Rica, and Israel. In addition to this. These research projects have also included partners from civil society, such as start-ups and support companies, as well as social enterprises from many of the countries represented by the different research partner. The projects have resulted in traditional scientific production together with reports, conference contributions and stakeholder debriefings
Prior to Kristianstad University
My first job within academia was as a three-year Research Fellow (2006-2008) in a Marie Curie Excellence Grant project at the Institute of Public Administration and Health Care Management at Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi (Milan, Italy). In connection with the fieldwork of the project – with a focus on social capital in organised sport in Denmark – I was simultaneously offered a position as Guest Researcher at the Department of Sport Science at Malmö University. After the completion of the project, my career continued as a researcher and teacher at Malmö University where I worked until the spring of 2013 with various programs and independent courses at the Department of Individual and Society and the Department of Sports Science (IS and IDV).
In the spring of 2013, I moved to the Department of Marketing and Management at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) where I stayed until September 2017. At SDU, my time was divided between research on social entrepreneurship, social enterprises and social innovation (funded by FP7, RISE and Horizon 2020), and research, teaching and supervision at both bachelor and master's level in the fields of management: organization, staff, leadership, governance, business administration and corporate social responsibility (CSR), often in the context of sports.
