Cell signaling in tumor cells
The cells in our body are regulated by cell signaling, they can receive signals to proliferate (divide) or undergo apoptosis (die). This process is balanced and regulated, however when this balance is disturbed cancer can occur. The goal of cancer therapy is to promote apoptosis in cancer cells. Finding new novel treatment that induces apoptosis and understanding the mechanism enhances our understanding of cancer and cancer treatment.
