Environmental compensation as a policy instrument – a municipal perspective
Despite international agreements for the environment and national environmental quality objectives, loss of biodiversity and environmental degradation continues. The Swedish Government has proposed environmental compensation as a policy instrument that may support achieving the national environmental quality objectives, a halt in the loss of biodiversity, and a sustainable supply of ecosystem services. In this project we study the conditions for, and experience of, environmental compensation in Swedish municipalities.

Agenda 2030 as framework for impact assessment of societal cooperation (AGERA)
In this project, coordinated by University of Gothenburg, eight Swedish universities collaborate on how to enable a stronger contribution to the implementation of Agenda 2030 and the sustainable development goals (SDGs). The objective is to develop new ways to link internal university processes for cooperation with society with tools to evaluate the impact of our cooperation on the SDG goals.
