Lärarlärdom 2018

Konferensen är till för verksamma lärare och undervisande personal som är intresserade av att utveckla sin kunskap om högre utbildning. Konferensen är ett samarbete mellan Blekinge Tekniska Högskola och Högskolan Kristianstad.

Om konferensen

Årets konferens går av stapeln i Kristianstad den 16 augusti och har fokus på hållbar utveckling i högre utbildning.

Behovet av en gemensam samlingspunkt för pedagogiska och didaktiska diskussioner där lärare och övrig personal kan träffas och föra dessa diskussioner tillsammans över ämnesgränser och lärosätesgränser är större än någonsin.

Våra lärare, forskare, doktorander, bibliotekarier och annan personal i olika stödfunktioner har genom åren byggt en gedigen kunskap och reflekterad erfarenhet kring lärande i våra ämnen, undervisning i våra kurser, stöd till våra studenter samt kring villkoren för framgångsrikt lärande vid våra högskolor. Många lärare har dessutom under åren genomfört empiriska studier i utvecklingsprojekt och skapat viktig kunskap kring studenters lärande i kurser och program. Exempel på detta är de arbeten som genomförs vid de högskolepedagogiska kurserna vid våra lärosäten.

Konferensens huvudsyfte är:

  • att erbjuda en mötesplats där lärare, studieadministratörer, personal i stödfunktioner, ledning och studentkår kan träffas för att diskutera utbildningskvalitet och lärande i högre utbildning samt villkoren för vår verksamhet.
  • att etablera en plattform för pedagogisk meritering som ger lärare tillfälle att presentera sin reflekterade erfarenhet och dokumenterade kunskap kring lärande och undervisning i högre utbildning.

Konferensen är utformad som en traditionell akademisk konferens med flera presentationsformer att välja mellan.

 

2018-års tema: Hållbar utveckling i högre utbildning

Huvudtalare på konferensen är universitetslektor Sally Windsor, nu verksam vid Göteborgs Universitet, Institutionen för Didaktik och Pedagogisk Profession. 

Utifrån temat kommer Sally att sätta en ram för vad Hållbarhetsfrågan omfattas av för ett lärosäte idag.

Conference on Higher Education - Kristianstad 2018

The conference is directed at active teachers and teaching staff who are interested in developing their knowledge about higher education. The conference is a collaboration between, Blekinge University of Technology and Kristianstad University.

This year's conference will take place in Kristianstad on the 16 of August with a focus on Sustainable development in Higher Education.

The need of a common meeting-point for pedagogic and didactic discussions where teachers and other staff can meet and engage in these discussions together across disciplinary borders and borders of higher education institutions is bigger than ever.

Our teachers, researchers, doctoral students, librarians and other staff in different supporting functions have throughout the years constructed solid knowledge and reflected experience in regard to teaching in our subjects, teaching in our courses, support to our students and regarding the conditions for successful learning at our higher education institutions. During the years many teachers have, furthermore, conducted empirical studies in development projects and created important knowledge of student learning in courses and programmes. The works carried out at the courses of teaching and learning in higher education at our higher education institutions are examples of this.

The main purpose of the conference is:

  • to offer a meeting-place where teachers, study administrators, staff of supporting functions, management and students' unions can meet to discuss education quality and learning in higher education and the conditions for our activities
  • to establish a platform for pedagogic acquisition of qualifications that will give teachers the opportunity to present their reflected experiences and documented knowledge of learning and teaching in higher education.

The conference is designed as a traditional academic conference with paper presentations with ensuing discussion; posters; round table discussions on substantiated issues; and best practice presentations based on reflected experience and a specially invited keynote speaker.

Theme 2018: Sustainable development in Higher Education

Keynote is Senior Lecturer Sally Windsor, University of Gothenburg. 

She will speak on the questions of what Sustainablility means to Higher Education institutions and students learning today.
