Dental Hygienist Clinic

A warm welcome to Kristianstad University’s dental hygienist clinic! Here, you can receive dental examinations and treatment free of charge while contributing to the education of future dental hygienists.

Dental hygienist students with a patient

At the clinic, you can receive examinations and treatment within a dental hygienist’s scope of practice. The students are supervised by registered dental hygienists, and a dentist can be consulted if necessary.

Examinations and treatment

You will receive advice and guidance on oral hygiene. We will also examine you for tooth decay, gingivitis, periodontitis and other signs of oral health problems. X-rays will be taken if necessary.

Treatment may include removing tartar, cleaning periodontal pockets, applying fluoride and polishing the surfaces of your teeth.

If other treatment needs are identified, an individual treatment plan will be prepared. If necessary, a referral will be sent to your regular dentist. Your dentist’s usual fees will apply to any treatment provided there.

Who can book an appointment?
