Withdrawal from a freestanding course
If you've registered for a course and then decided you no longer wish to attend, you report a withdrawal from studies.
A withdrawal implies that you resign your place. It may be important to notify bodies such as the Swedish Board of Student Finance (CSN), your unemployment insurance fund or the Swedish Migration Agency that you are withdrawing from studies.
Early withdrawal
If you report a withdrawal on a course within 21 days from start, the withdrawal is considered as early. If you decide to withdraw from your studies early, it is possible to apply and be admitted to the same course again through universityadmissions.se. Please note that an early withdrawal is not possible if you have already completed any exams or assignments as part of the course.
Withdrawal
If you report a withdrawal after 21 days, it is only possible to return and be re-registered upon availability in the course.
How do I go about?
You can withdraw from a course in Ladok for students. The courses you can withdraw from can be found on the home/start page under Current courses or under My education/Not completed. Be sure to check the course code and course name, so that it is the correct course. You cancel by clicking the course name and then I no longer wish to attend. Click Confirm discontinuation in the next step.
If you cant access Ladok for students, please send an email to student@hkr.se regarding your withdrawal.
