Dental Hygienist Clinic
The dental hygienist clinic is closed for the semester and will reopen in week 36. The specialist clinic is closed from week 28 to week 32.
At the dental hygienist clinic at the university, our dental hygienist students check for cavities, gum disease, loose teeth, or other signs of oral problems. X-ray images are taken as needed. Advice and directions are given regarding oral hygiene. Treatment may involve calculus removal, cleaning of gum pockets, fluoride treatment and tooth polishing.
The students are supervised by certified dental hygienists. Dentists are consulted as needed.
Cost
We offer check-ups and treatment by our dental hygienist students at a reduced price. If you are a student at Kristianstad University, you will receive an extra discount in addition to the already reduced price. You are welcome from the year in which you turn 24. Payment is made by card or invoice.
We are affiliated with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency.
Length of time
Each visit takes an hour. Two to four visits are needed for the complete treatment. It is advantageous for you and the dental hygienist student who is treating you if these visits can be arranged close to one another.
Our visiting days can vary. The appointment times, however, are always 8:30, 10:30, 13:00 or 14:40.
Restrictions due to COVID-19
- You are welcome to come to your appointment if you feel healthy and do not have a high temperature or symptoms of a cold or respiratory infection.
Specialist periodontology clinic
We provide appointments with gum disease specialists on referral. Fees are charged according to the current rate for specialists.
To keep in mind
