Course evaluation - contribute to development
Course evaluations form an important part of the development of Kristianstad University's courses and programmes. They serve, among other things, as a means of capturing the students' experiences. In the course evaluation, you, as a student, have the opportunity to influence the future design of courses and programmes!
Course evaluations are carried out in all courses
Kristianstad University uses a digital system to carry out course evaluations in all courses. This means that, as a student, you will have the opportunity to respond to a course evaluation survey at the end of each course. When it's time to complete the survey, you’ll receive it in three different ways. It's the same link, so you only need to complete it in one place:
- the course area in the learning platform Canvas
- the student portal
- by e-mail at the address you gave when you applied for your course at Kristianstad University.
The results are compiled and are made available
After the deadline, the results are compiled and published (without free-text responses) in the learning platform Canvas.
The teacher responsible for the course is then responsible for ensuring that the students' evaluations (including free-text responses) are weighed alongside data such as examination results, how many students completed the course and the teachers' evaluation of teaching and examination methods. This results in a course report, which describes actions and development work of immediate interest in advance of future courses. Its scope and nature determine how quickly changes can impact on future courses.
When each new course starts, the results of the previous course evaluation (without free-text responses) are available via the course area in Canvas. The course report must also be made available via Canvas as soon as possible, though no later than one month after the end of the course.
As a student, you will be given the opportunity to participate in discussions on improvements. How this will take place is determined by the teacher responsible for the course in consultation with the students.
