Invitation to COLOURS CoLab, October 21, 2025: How can collaboration influence choices towards a healthy lifestyle and sustainable food habits?

Kristianstad University invites you to a workshop (CoLab) this autumn, bringing together participants from across society who are interested in developing potential solutions through collaboration on a timely theme within food, health, and commerce: How can collaboration influence choices towards a healthy lifestyle and sustainable food habits?

These collaborative, challenge-based workshops are called CoLabs and are part of the European University initiative COLOURS, where Kristianstad University participates together with Kristianstad Municipality and Krinova Incubator & Science Park as partners.

The purpose of the workshop is to find solutions to complex challenges that various stakeholders can jointly address to positively influence our society — particularly regarding consumer choices in the grocery store.

  • The retail food environment – a key to sustainable and healthy dietary habits, Helene Tjärnemo,  Associate Professor in Business Administration, Kristianstad University 
  • Understanding the food purchasing and consumption decision-making process: evidence of the variables that most influence healthy and sustainable consumer habits, María del Pilar Martínez Ruiz, professor, Dr Business administration, University of Castilla-La Mancha
  • From Knowledge to Action – How Universities and students can influence and drive Sustainable food behaviours, Conscious Cravings COLOURS SE project 

The Food Habits Research Group presents: The COLOURS Joint project – a comparative study of food habits:

  • Malwina Wojcik, MSc, Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa,  
  • Frédéric Fortunel, Phd Geography, University of Le Mans,

A panel discussion highlighting different dilemmas and questions related to the complex challenge of encouraging sustainable consumer choices, taking into account knowledge, influence, and economics.

Behavioural Design in Practice – Techniques for a Healthy Lifestyle, Ida Lemoine, CEO Beteendelabbet

13:00–16:00:  Workshop and group discussions to identify the challenges  

Co-lab - Researchers day, October 22nd 

How to implement the identified challenges into feasible research project accordance to available European funding schems.  

The “researchers day” on October 22nd have the aim of finding new research opportunities and a possibility for the researchers to get to know each other. Discussions about new research proposals will be included. (COLOURS GO NETWORK). Register in the form for the co lab down below.

How to participate

The event will take place at Kristianstad University.

Participation is free of charge but requires registration. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. The first part of the day will be available digitally. Questions from online participants will be collected via the chat function. Depending on international interest, the entire day or parts of it may be held in English.

Continuation and follow-up November the 7th

Continuation of the Co-lab and follow-up for those who wish to continue working on solutions and ideas (Phase 2 and 3).

The format will be hybrid in English.

Save the date, an invitation will be sent to all the participants after October the 21st.

Train: Take the train from Copenhagen Airport or Malmoe C, bound for Karlskrona, the stop is Kristianstad C.
