HKR Innovation
HKR Innovation is to serve as a link between the general community, the private sector and Kristianstad University's faculty, researchers and students.
Such a link co-creates and promotes sharing of knowledge and insight that is fruitful for all parties concerned, while enabling successful collaborative efforts but not necessarily upholding them. Successful collaboration is based on the existence of skilled employees with detailed knowledge, while insight sustains and improves such collaboration.
The business and organisational development expert is a newly established function at Kristianstad University. The appointment is to serve as an extension of the work of Innovation Office South (IKS) at the university. The business and organisational development expert focuses on stimulation, support and inspiration of researchers, faculty and students when it comes to entrepreneurship and innovation. The development expert also administers Innovation Support (IKS) on behalf of the university.
Furthermore, the development expert is to expand the university's collaboration with the private sector and general community.
HKR Holding is a company that commercialises research findings and business concepts associated with the university. The main role of the holding company is to serve as a partner when the company needs external equity. Its investments focus on commercially attractive business projects that can evolve into growth companies. The target group also includes external business projects that seek collaboration with the university at an early stage in order to maximise the company's knowledge and skills from various points of view.
Our working methods
At HKR Innovation we promote the practical application of research and knowledge conducted and acquired at Kristianstad University. We collaborate with Krinova Science Park on an open innovation process that has been designed to support entrepreneurship and business development. Our motto is: "From challenges to benefits for the masses"
HKR Innovation collaborates with Krinova Science Park and Innovation Centre South (IKS) to offer an open innovation arena in which the private sector, research, the region and the municipality articulate future challenges and identity unprecedented solutions.
Kristianstad University has a highly developed collaborative arrangement with the private sector, public agencies and community organisations. As a result, Kristianstad University is able to offer placement to all degree program students, which is a big step towards full integration of education, the private sector and public agencies.
Ultimately HKR Innovation is also to serve as a guide to the support and development activities that have been established at Krinova Science Park.
