Erasmus+ grant for studies
Students at Kristianstad University who have been selected and nominated to participate in Erasmus+ may apply for an Erasmus+ mobility grant, given that the requirements are met.
Important information about the new guidelines, due to the Covid-19 pandemic
Students are allowed to attend exchange studies to the extent that they can be carried out safely with regard to travel restrictions. Furthermore students have to follow the regulations and recommendations of the receiving country and university.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, special rules apply to Erasmus+ mobilities:
Erasmus+ scholarships are only granted for physical mobility. However, there may be a possibility to start the mobility through virtual activities, with the aim to combine the online learning/working with a physical mobility abroad at a later date, if and when the situation allows for it. The virtual/online mobility period and the physical mobility period has to be at least 90 days in total.
Physical mobility = The studies/internship that the student participates in may be online fully or partly, but the student is participating while in the host country.
Virtual mobility = The studies/internship are online and the student participates either from Sweden or another country (not host-country).
In the online-application, the student must specify which period of the exchange relates to virtual/online and/or physical mobility (start and end date).
If we receive information about the virtual mobility after the student has received his/her first payment, the grant amount will be adjusted and the student may need to repay part of the scholarship if the final amount is less than the amount already received.
The Erasmus+ grant amount depends on the length of your study period and your host country. Note: financial support is only granted for physical mobility, not for days of virtual mobility.

The scholarship payment is made twice:
- The first payment is made at the beginning of your exchange upon submission of the relevant documents (Grant agreement, Learning Agreement, Arrival Certificate). This amounts to 70-80 percent of your planned scholarship.
- The remaining sum is disbursed after termination of the mobility, upon completion and submission of relevant documentation (e.g. attendance certificate confirming the exact dates of your exchange, see below). The final amount may then be adjusted, based on possible changes in the length of the mobility.
