Erasmus+ programme countries
You can do an Erasmus+ traineeship in one of the following countries:
Member states of the European Union*, Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Turkey and UK**.
*Including: outermost regions (OR’s) and overseas countries and territories.
**Important information about exchange in the UK
The United Kingdom is since 1 February 2020 no longer a member of the EU, but will participate in Erasmus+ until the end of the current programme, call 2020. As long as funding is available Erasmus+ student mobility to the UK is possible until the end of 2022 (last mobility date 31 May 2023).
Student visa and residence permit for traineeships in the UK
For Erasmus+ traineeships in the UK a visa is required. Due to the visa-application process you need to submit your Erasmus+ traineeship application at least 3 months prior to the intended start date of the internship.
