With a background in international business, Damon Meuffels from the Netherlands found his perfect match in the Master of Science in Marketing for Sustainable Business Management.
Hands-on learning
The programme provided a blend of theory and practice and offered a hands-on approach which Damon found valuable. In the Netherlands, a master programme is more theory focused.
− During the WIL course, I had the opportunity to conduct research for a local business incubator, which allowed me to apply what I was learning directly to real-world problems.
Sustainability in focus
Sustainability was a key theme in the programme, something that Damon encountered both during his studies and in his current role.
− Sustainability was a major focus during my time at Kristianstad University, and it has continued to be valuable in my current job at Position Green.
In his role as an Account Manager at the Malmö-based company, Damon is responsible for sales in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), helping businesses with their sustainability and ESG reporting.

Reflecting on his time at Kristianstad University, Damon highlights the international atmosphere and the relationships he formed with fellow students.

− Make the most of the diversity in the programme. While it’s focused on marketing, it covers a broad range of topics, especially sustainability, which can be applied in many fields. I highly recommend the programme to anyone looking to expand their horizons.
