Semester 1
The first semester of the programme consists of the following business administration courses:
Governance and value creation for sustainability, 7,5 credits
The course aims to introduce students in both fields - marketing and accounting - to governance and value creation theories in the context of sustainable business management.
Strategy and management control, 7,5 credits
The course aims to deepen students’ knowledge in strategy and management control, both in terms of theoretical perspectives and advanced practical application. Students will gain an increased understanding of the link between strategy and management control in organizational settings, including examples from both the private and public sectors, where sustainability and ethical challenges are at stake.
International accounting, 7,5 credits
The aim of the course is to enable students to develop theoretical and practical knowledge of international accounting and reporting for both private and public sector organizations.
International auditing, 7,5 credits
The aim of the course is to enable students to develop theoretical and practical knowledge of international auditing related to both private and public sector organizations.
Semester 2
During the second semester, students delve deeper into specialised areas of business administration through the following courses:
Sustainability accounting and reporting, 7,5 credits
The course provides students with an understanding of ESG governance at a global, regional (EU) and local (Sweden) level. Students will gain a sound theoretical understanding and good technical knowledge in the area if ESG accounting and reporting.
Advanced research methods in business administration, 7,5 credits
The aim of the course is for the student to develop advanced and in-depth knowledge and skills needed to conduct a scientific study within the subject area business administration and marketing and in the context of sustainable business management.
Master thesis in accounting and auditing for sustainable business management, 15 credits
The course aims to develop the student's ability to conduct scientific work.
