Travel and accommodation
Air travellers
For airborne travelers, Kristianstad is easily accessible from the international airport of Copenhagen (Kastrup). From the arrival hall in the airport, it is a two minute walk to the trains. All trains towards Sweden leave from track 1. The train for Kristianstad leaves once every hour and the destination is shown on the electronic display over the doors in each train car (posted either “Kristianstad” or “Karlskrona”).
Train tickets need to be purchased before you board the trains. Ticket machines are available in the terminal above track 1 and 2.
Train travellers
Delegates arriving by train from the continent will likely have to change trains at Copenhagen Central Station (Hovedbanegården). Trains bound for Kristianstad (may also be posted “Karlskrona”) leave every hour. There are other trains to Sweden (“Öresundståg”) every 15 or 20 minutes, but if you board one not posted “Kristianstad” or “Karlskrona” you will have to change trains once you are on the Swedish side (stations “Hyllie” or “Malmö Central”), from which there are at least two trains per hour bound for Kristianstad.
Train tickets need to be purchased before you board the train.
Once in Kristianstad
The conference will be held at Kristianstad University campus, which is a 25 min walk, or a seven minute bus ride from the train station (northbound line 4 towards “Lingenäset via Högskolan Kristianstad”).
All the buildings at Kristianstad University campus are numbered. You will find maps at the campus ground entrances but you can also find a guide below.
Accommodation
Most of the recommended hotels are within a short walking distance from the train station in Kristianstad.
