HR Strategy for Researchers – HRS4R
Kristianstad University has initiated a strategic process to obtain the HR Excellence in Research Award, granted by the European Commission. This work is carried out within the framework of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers(HRS4R), which aims to create an attractive, sustainable, and inclusive research environment for our researchers.
HR Excellence in Research Award
The award is granted by the European Commission to universities and research institutions that actively work to improve researchers’ working conditions, recruitment processes, and career development opportunities. It is based on a set of principles that define a fair, transparent, and professional research environment.
The HRS4R Process at HKR
By aligning with and implementing the principles of HRS4R, Högskolan Kristianstad will strengthen working conditions, enhance career development, and ensure fair and transparent recruitment practices. The goal is to foster a research environment where researchers thrive and grow – while also strengthening HKR’s position in the European research landscape.
As a first step, we have submitted a Letter of Intent, formally committing to the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
During the fall, a series of workshops will be held to identify areas where more structured development is needed, as well as to highlight existing good practices at the university.
