PRO-CARE
The research group PRO-CARE (Patient Reported Outcomes - Clinical Assessment, Research and Education) conducts broad research of both clinical and societal relevance, and is characterised by an interest in scientific methodology.
PRO-CARE consists of a multidisciplinary group of senior researchers and PhD students who conduct research in national and international collaboration. The research is characterised by an interest in scientific methodology and includes quality-assured measurement and assessment, person-centred and equal care, patient safety, and improved understanding and evaluation of disease consequences, prevention and intervention outcomes from a holistic perspective focusing on the individual person.
Methodologically, PRO-CARE is profiled towards psychometrics (especially Rasch Measurement Theory) and mixed methods (especially Group Concept Mapping), but also qualitative and multivariate statistical methods. Through teaching, pedagogically oriented projects and research PRO-CARE is linked to the doctoral programme in caring science, the master's programme in health sciences and the basic and specialist training programmes for nurses, as well as contract courses.
PRO-CARE has been coordinating the Network for Psychometrics and Metrology in the health sciences (PMhealth) for several years and was the initiator of the Scandinavian Applied Measurement Conference (SAMC).
