Research Platform – Collaboration for Learning
The research platform Collaboration for Learning is a collaboration between Kristianstad University and stakeholders in the surrounding community conducting activities pursuant to the Swedish Education Act.
The purpose of the platform is to contribute to the development of teaching in schools and preschools through practice-based research.
Vision
The research platform is intended to act as a dynamic arena for meetings between working professionals and academia. Research within the framework of the platform shall be characterised by the highest levels of scientific quality while at the same time being conducted in collaboration with stakeholders in the surrounding community conducting activities pursuant to the Swedish Education Act. Research projects must be relevant to these schools and/or preschools and possible to implement within their organisations.
In addition to contributing to the development of school and preschool teaching, the platform is intended to make Kristianstad University an attractive and creative research environment in which practice-based and operationally relevant research linked to teacher education is built up, strengthened and maintained.
The research platform offers multiple possibilities
There are a number of good reasons to participate in activities on the platform:
- As a researcher, you are offered a context for practice-based research and development together with other users of the platform.
- As a teacher, you will have the opportunity to develop your teaching together with other users of the platform.
- The platform provides you with the opportunity to expand your network of researchers and practicing teachers.
- You will be able to attend exciting lectures and seminars on practice-based and operationally relevant research.
- Funding opportunities for research projects.
Research
Four different research projects are currently being conducted within the platform, engaging both researchers at Kristianstad University and working teachers in local schools and preschools. These projects cover a number of areas, for example preschool children's studies of chemical reactions and physical phenomena, and the opportunities offered by digitalisation for teaching and assessing secondary school pupils’ multimodal texts.
