Research Platform Collaboration for Health
The Research Platform Collaboration for Health has existed since 2003 with the aim of conducting socially relevant and practice-oriented research in collaboration within the fields of health, care, and welfare. A unique collaboration between Kristianstad University and actors in the surrounding community characterizes the work. Kristianstad University funds the platform together with eight municipalities in Skåne.
Vision and goals
The Research Platform Collaboration for Health aims to contribute to more proactive and health-promoting initiatives where the individual can be an active co-creator, with coordination taking place based on the person's needs and focus.
The Research Platform Collaboration for Health contributes to the development of knowledge and competencies, primarily in northeastern Skåne, by serving as a platform and meeting place for research collaborations across boundaries. Here, the exchange of experiences and ideas can lead to joint knowledge development and innovative solutions to socially relevant problems. The research conducted contributes to the sustainable and long-term development of scientific knowledge among staff within healthcare and welfare services. The platform actively contributes to making Kristianstad University an attractive environment for both researchers and students.
Research
Many interdisciplinary projects are conducted at the Research Platform Collaboration for Health, covering areas such as nursing science, health science, psychology, and business administration. The projects target various groups, from children to the elderly, and have different focuses. For example, one project focuses on preventive home visits, another addresses existential loneliness among young people, and a third focuses on providing equitable, accessible, and safe care for individuals with Parkinson's disease and their relatives. Current projects can be found in the university's research portal. These projects also offer students at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels the opportunity to get involved through evaluations or sub-projects.
