Tuition fees

Students with citizenship in countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland are required to pay application and tuition fees. Please go to www.universityadmissions.se to find out more about application and tuition fees, and whether or not you are required to pay them.

EU/EEA students

Students with a citizenship in countries within the EU/EEA, or Switzerland, are not required to pay application and tuition fees for university studies in Sweden. They are however required to provide proof of their citizenship. Please send the documents to Universityadmissions accordingly.

Tuition fees do not apply for exchange students or PhD students

Non EU/EEA students

In general, individuals who are citizens of countries outside of the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland are required to pay application and tuition fees. There are some exceptions to this general rule, please consult www.universityadmissions.se

Tuition fees

The tuition fee can be found at www.universityadmissions.se after selecting Kristianstad University and the specific programme or course you wish to apply for.

Once you have received a notification of your acceptance to Kristianstad University, you will receive an invoice by e-mail for the tuition fee of the first semester. With the invoice you will get information on how and when payment should be made. The payment should be made by bank transfer directly to Kristianstad University.

Please note that the tuition fee is to be paid in Swedish Crowns (SEK).

If you have been admitted to a programme you should pay one whole term in advance. (Autumn term starts in September and ends in middle of January, and the spring term starts in the middle of January and ends in June)

If you have been admitted to a single subject course, you have to pay for a whole course in advance.

Once the fee for the first semester is paid, you can apply for your residence permit through the Swedish Migration Agency.

Local regulations for payment of tuition fees

In accordance with the "Ordinance of application fees at universities and university colleges (2010:543) Kristianstad charges fees of students who are not citizens of a state that is a party to the agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA), or of Switzerland.
