Application for an exemption within a programme
If you are studying a programme and do not meet the prerequisite knowledge requirements for the next course(s) within the programme, there is the option to apply for an exemption.
The application will be considered on the basis of your specific reasons and whether you can be considered as being able to complete the course, even if you do not meet the prerequisite knowledge requirements.
You can submit an application for an exemption if you believe that:
- the University has not given you the opportunity to re-sit the examination or do the supplementary courses that are included in the prerequisite knowledge requirements under the rules that are stated in the University ”Rules for course coordination and examination(pdf, 195 kB)”, such as in accordance with points 4, 6, 7, 8, 11, 17, 18 or 20.
- the University has not published the prerequisite knowledge requirements for the programme course in the official course syllabus on the programme website
- you can present the manner in which you can pass/complete the new programme course without meeting the prerequisite knowledge requirements.
