Discrimination and victimisation
The Discrimination Act prohibits discrimination. Higher education institutions have an explicit responsibility to work actively to prevent discrimination and harassment. Pursuant to the Discrimination Act, Kristianstad University works to promote the equal rights and opportunities of students and staff regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion or other belief, functional disability, sexual orientation, age, transgender identity or expression.
If you consider that you have been subjected to discrimination or victimisation according to the grounds for discrimination above, it is important that you let the University know. This also applies if you become aware of another student being discriminated against. The head of the Student Centre is responsible for investigating the matter.
