Transfer of credits
If you have previously taken one or more courses at another higher education institution, it may be possible for you to transfer the credits for these courses to your study programme at Kristianstad University. The same applies if you would like to have credit transferred for the knowledge and skills required for the courses acquired outside the higher education system.

How do I proceed if I want to transfer credit from a course or study programme?
To apply for credit transfer, you must have begun your studies at Kristianstad University, meaning that you have received your admission decision, accepted the offer, and registered for the study programme. The application should be in writing. The University provides a form that ensures that the information necessary for processing your matter is collected application for credit transfer. (pdf, 45 kB)
What do I do if I wish to transfer credits from my degree project or thesis?
You must attach the course syllabus, grades, and previous thesis/degree project to your application for credit transfer.
What documents shall I include in the application?
- Course syllabus/syllabi including literature list from the term when the course(s) in question were taken.
- Transcript of records.
For credit transfer of previous studies or professional experience, documentation must be attached to the application.

How does credit transfer impact student finance?
You will not receive student finance from CSN for transferred credits. You must notify CSN directly of any changes, www.csn.se.
What do I do if I regret applying for credit transfer?
A favourable decision on credit transfer in line with the student’s application cannot be changed upon request of the student. Exceptions apply if the University has failed in its information about what a credit transfer entails and what consequences the decision will have or if the decision has otherwise been incorrect.

You need to inform your teacher about your decision.
Can I appeal a credit transfer decision?
If your application for credit transfer is rejected, the decision can be appealed. You will receive information on how to proceed along with the decision.
