Microsoft Office 365

You can use them online with your student login details via www.office.com for 18 months after you have completed your course or program. You can also download them as apps and use them offline, but only up to 3 months after the end of the course or program. Therefore, make sure to save the documents and information you want to keep before your student account is deactivated.

Please note! It is not possible to install Microsoft Office on Chromebook and Linux.

Keep in mind that if you install Microsoft Office on a Mac computer, you may need to log out and log in again when the installation is complete (when you are in Word) or click on Update licence (this is located at the top of the list under Word).

Outlook (Email)

Outlook is a cloud-based service included in Microsoft Office 365 that allows you to send and receive emails. As a student at Kristianstad University, you have an Office 365 email address. You can use this to send and receive emails.

As a student, it is important that you use this email address as this is the channel where the University sends you information.

Teams

Teams is a cloud-based service included in Microsoft Office 365 that allows you to meet and collaborate with others online. As a student at Kristianstad University, you can access Microsoft Teams using your student account.

You can use Teams to hold group meetings or to create a team for a more long-term collaboration. The chat function is useful for brief discussions.

OneDrive

OneDrive is a cloud-based service included in Microsoft Office 365 that allows you to store, share and easily access files.

As a student at Kristianstad University, you have your own storage capacity for files. You can share files and coedit them with other users. It is important to bear in mind that the files remain linked to you as the user.
