Meet the Keynote speakers for ICCAS 2024, the International Conference on Culinary Arts and Sciences

Keynote 1 Liisa Lähteenmäki

Keynote 1 Liisa Lähteenmäki, professor, Department of Management, Aarhus University, Denmark.

Liisa's research interests have been on what drives consumers’ food-related decisions and especially the role of health and sustainability in those decisions. In addition to studying consumers’ choice decisions, understanding the factors influencing food waste behaviour are important as well as understanding the role of consumers as change agents in food system.

Keynote 2 Jorge Ruiz-Carrascal

Jorge Ruiz-Carrascal, is professor, (Catedrático de Universidad), Dpt. Animal Production and Food Science, IPROCAR- University of Extremadura, Spain. Editor International Journal of Gastronomy and Food Science.

Culinary hedonism in a healthy and sustainable world will include topics dealing with the challenge for chefs to deliver succulent and flavourful and sustainable and healthy recipes, and how culinary innovation and creativity may help to develop future healthier and more sustainable foods.

Keynote 3 Lina Behm

Lina Behm is an associate professor in nursing at the faculty of health sciences, Kristianstad University. She coordinates the student-led clinic with focus on lifestyle habits on campus.

Her research is within health promotion from the cradle to the grave and for various groups with special needs. She is focusing on different complex interventions that can enhance health.
