The COLOURS Alliance
Kristianstad University (HKR) has teamed up with eight other European universities to establish the "COLOURS" (COLlaborative innOvative sUstainable Regional univerSities) European University Alliance.
The other members of the alliance are:
Le Mans University (France)
University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain)
University of Ferrara (Italy)
Paderborn University (Germany)
Jan Dlugosz University (Poland)
Josip Jurai Strossmayer University Osijek (Croatia)
University St Kliment Ohridski Bitola (North Macedonia)
Ventspils University of Applied Sciences (Latvia)
Together, we have a student population of more than 126,000 and a workforce of almost 12,300.
The primary objectives of the COLOURS alliance are to strengthen their European network, increase their global exposure, and encourage mobility within Europe. The partners are also dedicated to tackling current societal challenges by adopting a multidisciplinary approach. They also aim to foster cooperation between their respective regions and regional actors.
To take advantage of the synergies that arise from their cooperation, the partners intend to adopt a "challenge-based approach" to teaching, research, and knowledge & technology transfer. For instance, they plan to develop new virtual and physical mobility programs and launch joint study and teaching activities. The partners are keen on engaging students in designing these initiatives.
If you are interested in collaborating with the COLOURS partners in research, teaching, or administration, please get in touch with us!
