Payment of tuition fees
This information is for students admitted from summer semester of 2023 and onwards. Students admitted before summer 2023 will receive their invoices by email.
Tuition fee payments are paid in advance instalments, one semester at a time on a set deadline.
The tuition fee is to be paid in SEK (Swedish Krona).
Payment is to be made as soon as possible. The Swedish Migration Agency does not start processing an application until the first tuition fee has been paid to the university Residence permit for studies in higher education - Migrationsverket.
A new student is only conditionally admitted until the tuition fee is paid. This means that if the payment for the first semester is not received according to the deadline on the invoice, the student will lose their place on the course/programme.
If a second or subsequent instalment is not paid by the deadline, the university will send a payment reminder. If the student fails to pay by the new deadline, the student may be suspended from further studies on the course/programme.
Please note that refunds of tuition fees are always made to the same account as the payment was originally made from. This applies regardless of whether you choose to pay from your own account or through another account holder.
Ensure to read our local guidelines for tuition fees (pdf, 239 kB).
How to log in for the first time
After receiving the Notification of Selection Results via University Admission, an email will be sent to the student with payment instructions and a link to log in to the student administration system, Ladok.
Log in to your Ladok account using the same login details as your University Admissions account. When logged in for the first time, please select English or Swedish as your display language.
On the navigation menu, please choose tuition fees. Your available invoice will now be displayed.
How to pay the tuition fee
Kristianstad University accepts payments by card or by bank transfer.
Ensure the reference number is included with the payment. This is a personal reference number and without this number we cannot match the payment to the student record. The information is found on the invoice.
Payment confirmation
Once we have received verification from our bank that the payment has reached Kristianstad University, we will register the payment in Ladok and a payment confirmation will be made available. We do not send any separate receipts.
Payment made by bank transfer may take several days to reflect on your Ladok account.
Kristianstad University will notify the Swedish Migration Agency once the payment has been received so that the student can start their residence permit application.
Paying for ongoing studies
After registration on the course/programme, it is possible to log in to Ladok by using any of the following services: Universityadmissions.se, university login service or eduID.
Before the start of each subsequent semester, a tuition fee invoice is generated in advance. A notification email is sent to your email address once the invoice becomes available. The invoice should be paid according to the instructions on the invoice.
