Deferment of studies for admitted students
An admitted student may apply for a deferral of studies which may be granted if there are particular reasons.
In the regulations of the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education, it is stated that special reasons for deferral of studies may entail social, medical, or other special circumstances, such as care of a child, student union commitments etc.
If you are admitted to Kristianstad University and wish to apply for a Deferment of Studies you must accept your offer as stated in the admission notice.
The application for deferring your studies should be sent to Kristianstad University and should have arrived no later than the date when the course/programme starts.
NB! If you need a residence permit for studies in Sweden you should take the Swedish Migration Agency regulations in to consideration before you apply for deferment of your studies. Please visit the website for the Migrationboard or contact them if you have any questions regarding your residence permit.
