Points of view and complaints
Before you as a student submit a complaint or your points of view for our improvement, it is important that you know what applies to different situations. The university is an authority and the operation is governed by a number of laws and regulations, for example the Higher Education Act and the Higher Education Ordinance.
Besides the laws and regulations there are local regulations and applications that apply to Kristianstad University for student related matters; refer to Rights and obligations.

Handling of complaints
Step 1. If you are dissatisfied with something concerning your education, you must first contact the affected teacher/course supervisor or programme coordinator. If your dissatisfaction concerns the support activities, you must first contact the responsible manager. In many cases the problem can be solved through dialogue with the ones affected.
Step 2. If you feel that your points of view or complaints have not been heard and you wish to take the case further, you must contact the student representative or the student protection representative via the Student Union (no membership is required).
Step 3. As a student, you have the possibility to independently or together with the representative submit a formal written communication regarding your point of view and complaint. You do this by using the form Points of view and complaints. The case is later prepared and handled by the Group for student complaints. The group consists of representatives from the Student Union and the Student Centre. Other professional groups affected are co-opted in based on the nature of the case.
