Each year Kristianstad University offers a number of scholarships to qualified students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.
Kristianstad University Scholarship
Each year Kristianstad University offers a number of scholarships to students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland with the requirement to pay tuition fee. The scholarship normally covers 50% to 100% of the tuition fee and will be deducted from the tuition fee. The scholarship will not cover living costs and there are no grants for family members.
How and when to apply
- Before you apply for a scholarship you must apply for studies at Kristianstad University at the Swedish application portal Universityadmissions.se
- After you have applied for one of our programmes and got your application number from Universityadmission you can appy for a scholarship below.
- The timeline for the scholarships coming Autumn follows the timeline for the first Admissions round in Sweden. Hence you will be informed about our decision the week after the admission results are published.

The deadline for applications for Autumn 2026 is 2 February 2026.
Selection process
The Kristianstad University Scholarship is merit based. The assessment of scholarship applications is made on the basis of the merits and documents sent to Universityadmissions.se when applying for a programme.
NB. Merits and documents registered after the 2 February will not be taken into consideration when applying for autumn semester.
You are not eligible for a Kristianstad University Scholarship if you have not paid the application fee to Universityadmissons.se for the programme you wish to study.
Priority will be given to:
- Applicants who have applied to Kristianstad University in the first instance, and on time.
- Applicants for campus-based programmes at second-cycle level that are taught in English.
- Applicants who have previously studied at or are currently studying at Kristianstad University.
- Applicants with good academic qualifications.
Applications that are not filled in correctly will not be taken into consideration.
No consideration is taken of the students' financial needs in the selection process.

SI Scholarship for Global Professionals: The Swedish Institute (SI) offers fully funded scholarships for master’s studies in Sweden. Pioneering Women in STEM: The Swedish Institute (SI) offers fully funded scholarships for master’s studies in Sweden, covering tuition fee, monthly allowance and a travel expense. SI is looking for women with work and leadership experience who want to lead innovation, tackle complex challenges, and contribute to more inclusive and sustainable societies. The call is now open and includes programmes in the field of STEM. The scholarship offers a unique opportunity to develop professionally, academically and build long-lasting relations with Sweden and other global professionals.
